I thought this was a very interesting read.
Quote:
Stop the presses: There are apparently some people out there who think that allowing your offspring to become a child star isn't such a great idea. Shocking, right? But not as shocking as the fact that Billy Ray Cyrus is one of them.
That's right—Daddy Salvia, who not only allowed his daughter Miley Cyrus to become the star of Hannah Montana as an impressionable young teen but starred in the show right alongside her, can keep his silence no more and has spoken out to GQ about his daughter's recent bout of downward spiraldom (see what too much partying in the USA can get you?).
Turns out, he blames the show. For everything. And we mean everything.

He actually did take his share of the blame and said he should've been a better parent and more of a parent than a friend. I find it interesting that they just chose to gloss over that just so they could make an article of him "playing the blame game" and quote, "blaming the show for everything. And we mean everything."
I'm not sure talking to a magazine was the best way to handle it though.

These pictures were taken yesterday. The same day that article came out. Tish and Billy are together here, but both don't look so happy for obvious reasons.

Don't worry Happy, I'm not a fan or a nonfan, I just found the article interesting.
It's not the first time where I've read family goes along with whatever "the business" wants. By business, I mean the people who handle the stars.

Miley Cyrus Is 'Hurt and Angry' over Dad's Comments
Billy Ray Cyrus has been speaking out candidly about the toll that fame has taken on his family, especially daughter Miley Cyrus.
But the real source of Miley's pain has been her father's words, according to someone who knows the Cyrus clan.
"Miley is upset," the source tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "She's very hurt and angry."
So why did Billy Ray, 49, share his fears and regrets? One longtime pal believes he may have felt he had no other choice: "Maybe he can't get the message of how much they mean to him across, and this is the way to do it."
Billy Ray tells PEOPLE that he realizes his comments were "explosive and unintentionally so," but also that he's focused on mending his family
So far, Miley, 18, has refused to comment on the current drama, but in its wake she has been spotted brunching with mom Tish, 43, and paying visits to a recording studio as well as with her So Undercover costar and love interest Josh Bowman.
A source who sees her often says Miley has "seemed stressed, though she tries to hide it behind a constant smile."

WTF? Bringing the mullet back, Billy Ray?! Yikes!
I just don't care for him. He obviously pushed her into being a star so he could try and make a comeback by being on her show, he's disgusting. And she's annoying and bratty but most kids are at her age, I know I was. lol

I just loved Billy Ray back in the day. I know, I know. What can I say? My mom wanted him for a son in law. The fact my sister and I were married didn't faze her one bit!!!!
Remember when Dolly Parton made a video so she could co star with him? Good times!!!
