I just watched his episode on a re-run. His death was because of financial problems, not because he was on Kitchen Nightmares.
It's so sad when people think they can never get out of a financial bind and there is no recourse except to take one's own life....
or even worse the stories you read about the father taking down a whole family because of shame over money problems.

That is so devasting to hear.I really enjoy all of Gordon Ramsey's shows.The latest one was Master Chef where regular people who have no chef experience compete and a 22 year old won.Hell's Kitchen started last week and it looked to be an exciting season.He does appear to be a bit abrasive but I feel he is sincere in trying to help further one's future.
