 | Subject: Mac users and the feeds ??? Thu Jun 10, 2010 7:20 pm | |
| Back in January, I made the switch to Mac after my pc laptop died. Before, I used BB Viewer or Reloader to watch/record the feeds. So I have two questions for those who use Macs:
1. Is there an application similar to Viewer or Reloader I can use with a Mac? I've tried to find something similar with no results. Am I at the mercy of RP this season?
2. What program is best to use in order to record the feeds? I've tried Quicktime, but I can't get the audio to sound right.
Any help will be much appreciated! (I hope this was posted in the right section. LOL) |

| What did you learn? As a Mac user myself I had to stop using reloader and viewer and am at the mercy of Real Player. |

Well, I did learn that BBViewer and BBReloader were no longer an option for PC users, so that answered one question, as there are no alternative options strictly for BB Mac users.
As for recording the feeds, I found a few screencapping programs that allow you to record video from the screen; most of them require purchase of the software, though. I found one in particular that works well (used a trial version of Snapz Pro X), but it's $70. I can use the program in my classroom, as well, so I might be able to swing it and have the school pay for it. QuickTime has a screen recording option, but the audio sound was not that great, imo. |
