This is the 2nd annual Toys For Tots!

Come meet your favorite Big Brother House Guests!!

Michelle BB10
Cowboy BB5
Lydia BB11
Michele BB11
Ronnie BB11
Korie ROL 2

Saturday December 5th 6:00PM
The HG's will be on a float in the Holiday Parade!!
After the parade there will be a small meet and greet at the Elks Club.

Sunday December 6th 2:00-8:00PM
Bring
an unwrapped toy or $5.00 donation and you can hang with the HG's all
day long!! This will be taking place at the Moose Lodge.

There
are many less fortunate children out there, and nobody wants to see an
upset child during the holiday season. This is a great cause, if you
can’t make it and would like to help please send donations or an
unwrapped toy to:

Also
for those who are unable to make the event, SuperPass will be getting
some footage of the event so all you SuperFans can see how thoughtful
these HG’s are.

I have a question - do the donations at this event get distributed to Toys for Tots across the United States or just to the kids in Portsmouth, NH?

i don't think there are too many poor kids in portsmouth. it's a pretty nice town. good question though.

There are a lot of Toys For Tots event across the US. I know we have one here in Charlotte every year.

I have a feeling Jeff and Jordan are not going to make this one in Portsmouth. They are doing a lot of traveling back and forth to see each other already and now they have the holiday season. We know they want to go see Casey and back to LA. Not to mention their winter trip to Antigua. They can't go ALL the time.

I don't mean to be a party pooper but if they really want to help the program, I think it would be more effective to get people to come to different locations then having all the HG's go to one location and then do publicity just there. Like tru says, Toys for Tots is in Charlotte - Jordan could make an appearance there, Jeff could make one in Chicago, the folks signed up for Portsmouth could go there, some still in LA could go there and so on. It just seems it becomes less about the charity and more about attention. I'm more focused on what will bring in the most toys nationwide in lots of different areas. Just my opinion. I''m all about getting the most families helped and there are so many places in need. The star power of the BB houseguests already going to Portsmouth should get alot of people out. Lydia, Kevin, Ronnie, Michelle, Cowboy and is Steven going too?- they all represent BB well. They should have a good turn out there already without anymore. Would be cool to have 4 or 5 such things going on around the country.

I wouldn't be too sure about that...all cities have their areas that are in need. At this time, I'll bet there are quite a few families' children that could use help in the Portsmouth area. JMOO

FYI- looked it up:

Individuals living below the poverty line in the community was 1,883, or 9.3 percent . The percentage of individuals living beneath the poverty level in the country was 12.40%.

They may still show up in their individual cities. Sounds like this event is well organized and a repeat event. It's all good.

So who lives in New Hampshire that started the trend of getting BB house guest to come promote it. I know Michelle (BB10) did this last year, I don't know if it is at the same location. Does she live in NEw Hampshire?

I like your idea. Have the hgs stay local. Also, if their plane fares are being paid for that is money that could have been used to buy more toys.But, I guess it's better than nothing.

My family lives in Boston so I am going for a week vacation to see them and will be there for the event as well.

That's a great idea, you should suggest that to the organizers. One for the people in LA, one for the people in Florida, then the North East coast like NY or NJ can do one, Steven can do Texas, James/Howie/Jeff Chicago etc.. That way lots of children from many places are getting the help and no money is being wasted on flights and hotels. So more money for toys.

I don't find it sad or creepy, London. I think Ronnie is just trying to show some Christmas spirit and he seems to be very excited about doing the Toys for Tots charity event.
