You're channeling my DH, Franga! Makes one wonder about their real reasons for allowing themselves to be treated that way. Ramsay may be a renowned chef, but sheesh. I loved it when Colleen said she also give lessons in manners. If she had them, she'd be bawz to the wall lol!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Chef Ramsay is going to be doing a live special sometime this season:
"Fox is looking to do at least one live special where "Hell's Kitchen" star Gordon Ramsay shows viewers how to make a dinner.
"The program will urge viewers to make a three-course homemade meal along with the world-famous chef.
"It has been picked up, and I can't wait for it to go live," Ramsay said Wednesday.
"My frustration is that most cooking shows don't really cook ... their ingredients are prepped earlier, that's not cooking ... it's nice to show the journey from live ingredient to (finished meal)."

I think he is a riot too.
When this show first aired I thought he was nothing but a mean bully....but I realized after that it was all part of an act.
I love to see him when he takes the contestants off to a field trip...he is always dressed so sexy and he is sooooo charming to the women!!

So sad that Ji had to leave. She was one of the very few who I felt could actually cook.

I don't pretend to be a great cook but I honestly think I could outcook some of these people.

I hate it, absolutely hate it, when Ramsey screams at the women, calling them cows. I wish he wouldn't name call.

I was sorry to see her go, too, Lori . . . and VERY surprised that Ramsey let her keep her jacket. I couldn't help wondering if she might be back. Maybe not this season, but next?

The heavyset guy's "So what did I win? A ferry ride?" just cracked me up!!!

Notoriously foulmouthed Gordon Ramsay is under investigation by a British broadcasting watchdog group after his UK series broke the world record for swearing on TV. In the episode in question, reveals Contact Music, the chef used the F-word 240 times. And here we thought the U.S. version of 'Hell's Kitchen' couldn't get any more astonishing.

The blond cooking school gal. Don't remember her name off the top of my head.

It was another one of those times where they nominate people and then he makes them both go back and picks the one he wants to kick off.

I've lost a post!

Colleen. He called her tenacious. Told the others that was something they were lacking. Andrea and J, both manned the meat stations for their teams, and thoroughly screwed up. Robert a/k/a Bobby, was given a poorly veiled warning.

Next week Jean-Philippe has the melt down lol!

Same thing happened to me Mrs C, they rebroadcast on Fox reality on Saturdays. I had to record it again today to see how it ended Sad
I don't even watch American Idol but it seems to run over quite a bit.

Dagnabbit! I wish I had known they rebroadcast on Fox reality. I missed the end, too! Darn American Idol!!! I wonder why they let them run over, like that. It's not a football game, for Pete's sake, where you never know what will happen!

Isn't it damned annoying when Idol runs over? It's happened before, and I've been so chuffed at having a PVR, thinking I'd never miss the ending of a show ever again, then I have to go hunting all over looking for the answer to who got kicked off.
I do enjoy this show because the contestants have to work for their win, as in Survivor and Amazing Race, and I must admit that hearing Chef Ramsay's Brit accent has appeal, but I do wonder what the criteria are for being chosen as the best of of all those who entered.
I understand that those who do the choosing must use the tools at hand, the submissions and history of the applicants, but I believe that just as in most other reality shows, they throw in several wild cards just to make it interesting.
Colleen should never have been chosen in the first place, I guess her cooking school record got her that far, but she was hopeless, and even though I wished her gone early, she did manage very well in coping with the abuse from the chef.
I sometimes wonder if I'm a little bit of a sadist for feeling that touch of satisfaction when one of the contstants is verbally whipped for being downright stupid!
Props to Colleen though, I dislike the whingers and whiners most, guts and hanging in there no matter what are worthy attributes.

What a mess! I swear the cake dropping was scripted and Jean Phillipe's 'melt down' was disappointing. I love the sniping between Carol and whatshername (my brain is fried) I really thought the tables would be turned on her when Coi spoke up but Ramsay wants the conflict. Bleu Cheese in a burger for a kid's Bar Mitzvah?! This is setting up to be a confrontation of epic proportions... but I wouldn't be surprised if they become buddies... Carol and whatshername

(I'll edit when I remember her name LOL)

As I watched this last night it occurred to me that the majority of the contestants are uncouth. I mean come on, they cuss, call each other names, they sweat, and in general just seem somewhat slimy and some of them are in need of a good scrub down with soap/water. Is this the best they can come up with? There have got to be talented, intelligent, well-spoken want-to-be-head chefs out there somewhere. Of course you have Chef Ramsey swearing and calling names which doesn't help. Personally I feel Ramsey has a mental disorder of some sort.

Yes, Lori, there are intelligent, well-spoken chefs out there... they're just on all the other shows Wink

Annoyed me that LA went home but they have to keep Andrea and Carol since they antagonize the crap out of each other. More fun for us I suppose LOL

LOL - yeah, it's kind of like ghetto-top-chef.
I think Ramsey is just acting. I've seen him on other shows, like his BBC show and he never yells like on Hell's kitchen. Maybe a little cussing, but he is nice and friendly to the chefs on the other shows.
