This is on TLC. I hate to admit it, but I've watched it.
It's interesting. Viewers will get to pick one of the final 16

Normally I wouldn't care but since Oklahoma has won the last two years... I
guess I'm more interested. Also Jennifer Berry Goodin the winner of 2006 was
a ballet student of mine and we coached her in her talent so I am less resistant
to the idea of a beauty pageant.

Actually, that looks like it would be a funny show. Sorry I missed it. I will need to Tivo it for next time.

That always makes watching more fun. I'm not a Miss America (pageant) fan but I do enjoy this show. Loved the makeovers.

I watched the first 2 episodes....didn't really like it. I didn't understand the point of the challenges they were doing, and why they pick the top and bottom 3 at the end of every episode. There's no reward or punishment so what's the point. If i were one of those girls, i wouldn't mind being picked in the bottom 3, b/c at least the viewers will get to see you and may vote for you.

The Miss America pageant is on tonight, 8/7CST on TLC.

I don't normally watch it (i prefer Miss USA), but now that i've gotten to know some of the contestants, i definitely want to tune in to see how far they make it. I also wanna see if they've kept up the new makeovers.

Me too. It made it a lot more interesting. You get to know the gals.
ABC News ( I think that was what I was watching) did a story on Miss Utah.
I loved her.. so spunky even though the "judges" didn't seem to like her.
And Miss Alaska, the dork, I liked her a lot too.
I wonder who the fans will vote in the top 14?
