Jul. 28 2008,22:59 3) Some of the cast were changed a few weeks before they left, the producers didn't like them, they went with a second string of applicants. So much for recruiting speculations
"The producers didn't like some of the ones that were first cast. They wanted to take another look." They called back some semifinal contenders who'd been interviewed in LA for the lengthy interview, and then sent home a bit early.
A survivor named Paloma said it was the worst experience of her life. regets doing it

| I found this first episode of Survivor to be frustrating. Starting of with the two eldest members picking teams, Bob and Gillian. What a crappy team Gillian picked for the Fang tribe! So, the teams are completely unfair (in terms of physical strength) and what does the Fang tribe do? They boot Michelle, the most physically fit female on their tribe for being "negative". IDIOTS! This was a bummer to me, I found Michelle to be an enjoyable character to watch, being all bitchy and emo! Not to mention the friendship her and the gamer guy had was interesting. Oh well. So, of course the Kota beat Fang at every challenge and Gillian ended up getting the boot too. She was really annoying to me. I would rather listen to Michelle bitch then Gillian being "optimistic" but that's just me. I don't really "like" any of them that much, Dan is good looking and nice, but his niceness will get him in trouble. That Fang tribe is a mess! They couldn't even work out a leader! I am really curious how they are going to play out this "good vs. evil" theme. With the way it is set up now, it's more lie "weak vs. strong". Ace will definitely be around for a while an be entertaining. I thought it was funny when Randy hit his head and Gillian couldn't help him because she couldn't see in the dark. I COULD NEVER BE ON THIS SHOW!!!!! _________________ “It's not your job to like me - it's mine” Byron Katie

| I found it a bit frustrating as well, starting with the picking of the teams .... it just didn't seem logical. I was surprised that the Olympic gold medal winner (Crystal?)did so poorly in the hill challenge unless she was trying to fly under the radar. I wasn't surprised when Randy stated that he'd never been married - big surprise there buddy! (What a joyful personality for some poor gal to have to deal with, no?) I wanted Michelle to hang around longer too - her bitchy, abrasive personality would have been fun to watch. Looks like a good season but I hope we don't have a total Pagonging of the Fang tribe - that gets a little boring for me. _________________ "People can be taught to hate and people can be taught to spell but apparently it's one or the other." | I agree with everything. I was disheartened by the end of the second hour. Here we go again! One tribe totally overwhelming another. I have no favorites at this point, I just don't like to see such a lop-sided playing field. It is getting old, really fast. I'm losing my taste for Survivor. |

| Well actually Gillian made only the first choice but the others picking sure were dumb about it.
I hate hate hate it when one tribe totally dominates every challenge. Have the producers not learned they need to divide the tribes first off with equally strong players?
Don't have any clear cut favorites at this point. The Fang Tribe is pretty dumb and the other tribe is becoming so big headed with each challenge victory. Oh well the scenery is beautiful. _________________ |

OMG they are the dumbest people EVER! I also agree that I hate the lopsided tribes, wasn't it that olympic gold medalist that picked that other older woman? HELLO--you need strong men. | I thought them making a fishing pole from glasses, shoe strings and a stick and catching 5 fish was GREAT! I love it when someone can come up with an idea like that, and it works. And the awful guy who gave up his glasses seemed like he has already mellowed just a tiny bit. He said something nice to Gillian when he voted her out....but he's still pretty awful. Otherwise, I'd be rooting for him for the fishing hook alone, lol. I don't think I'll be rooting for the alliance of 4 with the lawyer in love with the doctor, lol. It seemed like they talked to the lawyer 85% of the time....hmmm....One would think that alliance is going to go very far. They seem nice enough, but IDK. There are so many people still, and I'm not drawn to anyone yet. I guess I'll go with the physics teacher. I mean who can resist a man in a bow tie, lol. |

Hopefully, some people will begin to stand out and I will find some to cheer for. |
