Snow Cone Syrup

Do you make snow cones for your kids in the summer? Well, we do at my house, and the syrup you buy in the bottles is so expensive when you've got a bunch of kids sucking down snow cones on a hot summer day. Low and behold, I found this recipe on the net awhile back and forgot all about posting it till I saw Pimp's recipe for homemade laundry soap. So, here you go . . . another money saver.

Snow Cone Syrup

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid

Bring sugar and water to a full boil. Remove from heat and stir in Kool-Aid. Chill well. Add kids and crushed ice!

What a great idea and super easy to make. Thanks for the recipe I'm sure it will be one that I use a great deal if we ever get any summer,lol. Smile

Hey, tomorrow's the first day of summer (I think). If it's still cold outside, just turn up the furnace and pretend. Laughing

My son found a snow cone maker at a yard sale, of all places, Pimp. Or rather, his mother-in-law found one. She's the yard sale queen!!
