Okay it's Thursday is this where we post our strange Bob Marley connections lol!

My next door neighbor watched Skye for me this morning and when I went to pick her up as we were talking I noticed a huge poster of Bob Marley handing in their entry way that I have never seen before.

So there ya go, it's started, who's next dance

One of Adams celebrities in "guess a celebrity game" last night was Bob Marley.
It was last night BUT within the 24 hours prior to competition. Think that counts?

Jeff also named an "X" city as "Xavier" during one of those games, and seeing as my name is XUBaby (as in Xavier University) I am taking that as a sign. A sign of what, I don't know; I hope not the apocalypse.

I've been think a long time on the aspects of Jeff getting a cooking show.I love to cook.People enjoy my cooking and there no way on earth I would ever get a
cooking show.LOL Watch the way Jeff cooks. He has no regard to what he mixes together.I watch all the food channels and all the cooks first of all have all gone to Culinary School.Strike one against Jeff. The other is,a good Chef knows what components go together.Jeff mixes too much in 1 thing.Components have to
complement each other.I sometimes get grossed out when he cook.It looks like garbage.Of course this is all just my opinion.

Rachel Ray, Paula Deen and Melissa Diaguardia did not go to cooking school.

I am not sure about Bobby Flay either - he is a 9th grade drop out. I am not sure he went to cooking school either.

Not going to cooking school does not count him out for a show.

All these people worked around food all their lives, in restaurants or catering.
Flay did go to school after dropping out at 17 and working in restaurants.
Flay received a degree in culinary arts at the French Culinary Institute

Jeff looks to me like a pretty average home cook

Melissa d'Arabian is a business major who did not go to cooking school - she was a stay at home mommy.

Paula Deen was not around food all her life she was a bank teller and started a sandwich business to make ends meet.

I am sure there are more. The point is that if you want something - it can happen. That is all. My daughter is going to culinary school and I think it is awesome. But in the culinary world being a foodie is not always about having a degree or schooling to make it big.

As much of a Jeff fan as I am, I always thought the whole cooking show idea was a bit farfetched. I remember in BB11, the houseguests enjoyed his food and then suddenly everybody kinda took that and ran with it -- making him suddenly a future cook with his own television show. I'm sure he makes great food. So does my Mom.

When it comes to being a host or having his own show, I think ATWFF is more of his niche. He seemed to do very well communicating with complete strangers during his travels on that show. He had a good upbeat presence and seemed really comfortable. I'd try to see if there is anything else similar to that...the travel genre is what he should focus his energy on. The show seemed to be pretty successful, so at least he has REAL experience already in that field. He doesn't have any kind of experience that I know which would allow him into the cooking area. I wonder if he has any really good recipes that he's been holding in his back pocket.

Based on the definition, I would say yes he is a foodie.

foodie, foody [ˈfuːdɪ]
n pl -ies
(Cookery) a person having an enthusiastic interest in the preparation and consumption of good food

I am not saying Jeff is going to get a cooking show or that he even wants a cooking show - but to say that he can't even think about it or make it happen is unrealistic. If someone wants something and they work for it, they can have it.

Not talking about Jeff, but in general, no. If you want something and work for it, you can only have it if your dream is reasonable and within your abilities to achieve it. A lot of people in this world don't have advantages of genetics, education or stability in their home. To say if you dream it and work for it, it can happen is what is unrealistic.

The feed directors treat Jeff's cooking as though they're catching women showering or something. I swear, sometimes they treat it like food porn, the amount of time they spend on just showing him cooking.

He isn't going to get to get a cooking web series. I am sure he would love to have one since he loves to cook.

I know i would watch since he entertains me and so does his "make something out of nothing" cooking style. Plus it doesn't help that he would be shirtless in this show that I am imagining.

But alas it isn't going to happen.

Jeff calls it Garbage Cooking.

Yeah, he won't get a show, but that would be a great title for it if he did.

Wow - I just typed up what I thought to be the most extraordinary post of my career in response to the topic of a cooking or travel show for Jeff hosting and when I hit send - it said the topic was locked and my post was gone. Drat. And it was such a great post too. Oh well. Carry on without my incredible post that would have made you so fascinated to continue with the topic. ARRRG Instead of re-posting my explosive post, I will just say that Jeff would be better than this guy.

One of the operative words here is "work" for it. As I mentioned in my previous post in JJ thread regarding this, if Jeff was that into this dream and as proactive as one could be, I expect him to take advantage of having friends who own restaurants and beg them to stage in their kitchen as much as possible to beef up his resume.

How do you know he hasn't worked in their kitchen or tried to learn from them? No one knew he had his real estate license. Jeff doesn't say much about his private life, totally understandable. He said production people from ATWFF would like for him to be more available.. There is a good possibility they are interested in him for something else or something behind the scenes. I don't think he will be a star or have his own show, but I also don't think he is doing something wrong by moving to LA. It is his life and he knows it better than I do.

I am just speculating here. Sorry, I will never be getting on the positive train where all your dreams come true if you just wish hard enough - philosophy of "The Secret" is just not for me.

I know plenty of people who are GREAT cooks and they don't have their own cooking show. I don't think Jeff would turn down a potential cooking show, but I don't think he is actively pursuing one, at least not from what ive seen of him. I've come to the conclusion that I know 15% (at best) of Jeff, Jordan, or any other houseguests lives. I wouldn't tell everyone MY choices/ambitions/dreams. And I don't expect jeff or anyone else to either. The truth is, no one knows if Jeff will stay in Chicago, move to LA, or move to the moon. But it sure is fun guessing, right?!?!? Smile

Wow, this is reminiscent of the post BB11 discussion about Jeff not having the drive/talent to break into the entertainment business to host, let alone hosting a travel show. Impossible! Lol!
