BREAKING: Trump not running for president

(CNN) - Real estate mogul Donald Trump will not run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, he said in a statement released Monday.

"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency," Trump said in the statement.

The famously confident reality television star, who has spent the last few months openly considering a run for president said, "I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election."

He said he will continue to voice his opinions and eventually support the candidate "who is the most qualified to help us tackle our country's most important issues."

I really enjoyed his participation in the political discourse of our country. He brought many many laughs and showed how anyone, no matter how ridiculous your hair looks, can run for president. I will miss laughing at him but on the brightside there is no shortage of farcical politicians.
