That's just terrible. Where the hell are his parents? I know, they probably did it.

I don't have kids yet, but whenever I have my nieces, I watch them like hawks. It's a sick, twisted world we live in. I was at Walmart once and someone came over the intercom saying that there was a missing child and that all exits were closed until they found her. One of the exits lead into the mall, and they found the little girl at the other end of the mall... First of all, how does a mother (that is who she was with) not notice that her child is missing for that long? Her child wasn't even two yet, it must have taken her some time to waddle that distance... and secondly, how did no one in the mall not notice a 2 year old by themselves for that distance?

I fear I will be a very over protective mother.

Or it was a mother and son kidnapped and they boy died and the abductor put the boy out of the car.

But I will apply Occam's Razor or the old adage if you hear hoof beats think horses, not zebras and that means the parents.

This is such a tragedy and it makes me sad and angry at the same time.

Have they said how he died? I was watching the news at lunch and they said they have some solid leads on who the boy is, so I'm assuming they know and are just waiting until the next of kin are notified (and probably charged).

If it is the parents I believe there is a special place in hell for them!

As a person who has fertility issues, it hits me hard when parents do not realize how lucky they are to have children!

I am hoping it is not the parents. Please keep us updated.

This makes me sick. They questioned her boyfriend and friends tonight on all the local stations here and they seemed shocked. They towed her navy blue truck away as well. Her older son who is 23 is in the Navy, but he lives in Virgina. So they do not know why she was in Maine. Heartbreaking for the little boy to die like that.

This story is heart breaking. It was on our news here in Dallas last night. Why is it when there is a monster amongst us, you have to be a moster to kill someone else ESPECIALLY your own child, that people always say what a great person the killer is? They talk about how much she loved her children and what a great Mom she is. HUH? That great person just took the life of a child she gave birth to - she is not a good person she is a disgusting excuse of a human being that deserves the haunting pains in consequence of her involvement in all of this. Blah

Seeing the pictures of that sweet little boy smiling breaks my heart.

Germantown, which is an upscale suburb of Memphis, with very good schools, this week had a 12 year old male middle schooler arrested for the rape of a 9 year old little boy. We are all still reeling.

It is very hard to grasp a mother killing her child and a 12 year old rapist.

here is today's release:

GERMANTOWN, TN (WMC/CNN) – A 12-year-old charged with raping a 9-year-old boy has been released on bond.

The rape allegedly took place in a wooded area near the child's home in Germantown, TN. Police were notified after the alleged victim reported the incident to a counselor at Farmington Elementary School.

The suspect, a middle school student, was charged in juvenile court and later released on bond. He is expected to appear before a judge next week.

In the meantime, the suspect will undergo clinical analysis. Investigators have not released the names of the kids, and it's not clear how they know each other.

Blondie? You asked how the boy knew what to do? The internet and television and the anything goes has made our children way too educated on a variety of subjects they don't need to know yet.

I know. It is so sad and sickening.
