I don't know what to say except it is sad for a marriage to end after 4 kids and 25 yrs. No matter what anyone thinks or says, for 4 kids this is the worst that could happen and the only thing they have ever known is changed forever.

I am really surprised by this news. I thought they were a very odd match, but 25 years you would think you could figure it out and work it out. I feel the same way about Al and Tipper Gore. Don't understand it.

I'm a bit surprised but not. A lot of politicians (and other professions) stay together while in office then split when the 'voting' phase of their careers are over.

I think it is hard to be married to people with big egos and people with big egos who have been in the public lime light can really be a challenge.

Life is too short seems to be the thought of both Tipper and Maria.

Living with this woman under the same roof for ten years and not knowing. I wonder if she was a live in staff and if so, did her child live there too.

The woman is married. What did her husband know? Where did he think the money was coming from? Did everyone know, Arnold, the woman and her husband, everyone but Maria? Did he think the child was his? And is there a child somewhere who just found out his/her Dad is not her/his Dad? Why would this woman's husband be okay with her working there for 10 years after? Are they still together? This whole thing is a betrayal on so many levels. Cheating is one thing, this is cheating and betrayal X 10. at least.

With Arnold, I was expecting much worse. But I did not expect a child to be invovled, that is what gets to me the most. He has always seemed a creepy misogynist to me.

The sad part about this is it happens more often than you think. A friend of mine is right now serving a 6 month prison sentence for refusing to pay spousal support to his ex wife because the same thing happened to him.

I took a psych class about human behaviors, and I found the trends on cheating to be fascinating. We would commonly think that if a spouse were to cheat it would be with someone more attractive or younger than their current spouse... but this usually isn't the case.
